CPE Information
Hoyman Dobson offers an extensive multi-faceted
training program. Each year we review a select targeted training
and continuing education classes for each team member. Additionally,
our computer-based training keeps you on the leading edge
of both software and technological innovations. On-the-job
training is an integral part of the program, as you get quality
training daily from a variety of Hoyman Dobson
supervisors. This experience is valuable because it applies
classroom and PC based training
concepts to real-life situations.

Evaluation/Performance Reviews
Performance Evaluations are an important part of professional
development at all levels at Hoyman Dobson.
This function has been integrated into all levels in the
firm and our commitment to continuous self improvement is
evidenced
by the fact that our owners are evaluated annually both by
peer evaluation and self assessment. Members of the management
group receive written feedback semi-annually from the Directors
on their development in the profession's critical competencies
such as technical skills, interpersonal skills, professionalism,
practice development and client service skills. Seniors and
staff are formally evaluated after every assignment, both
verbally and in writing by their immediate supervisor. The
written evaluations
are designed to highlight performance strengths as well as
areas for development.

Mentoring
The best way to retain employees is to tell them what they
can achieve and how they can achieve it. Hoyman Dobson's mentoring
program is designed to do just that - with the more experienced
members
of the firm sharing their wisdom, with care and compassion,
with the developing professional. Professionals are assigned
a mentor upon joining the firm. The mentor is always
a more experienced person in the firm that can share experiences
from both a professional and a personal perspective.
Mentors
do
not evaluate; they develop through coaching, discussion
and
feedback. Mentors are available to answer questions,
address concerns and explain the internal operations of the
firm.
The mentor's role is to assist in the development of
your career.
